At Starling’s Children’s Mental Health Centre (formerly Lutherwood), many of the children who walk through our doors have nothing but the clothes on their backs. But what they carry within them is far heavier: the pain of anxiety, depression, and emotional trauma.

These children, some as young as six years old, are in desperate need of a lifeline. Without timely care, their struggles deepen, and their futures grow uncertain. But they don’t have to face this alone.

You are the key to their recovery.

Through our unique Recipe for Success, Starling's Mental Health Centre provides a comprehensive approach to healing:

• Our Nurse lays the groundwork by ensuring each child's physical health needs are met.
• Our Cooks offer warm, nutritious meals to keep children nourished and energized for their treatment.
• Our Psychologists and Clinicians create tailed therapeutic plans and offer safe spaces for children to build coping mechanisms for future challenges.
• Our Child and Youth Counsellors, Recreation Therapist, and Music Therapist empower children with skills and offer opportunities to build self-esteem, social growth and teamwork.
• Our Teachers ensure each child meets their education goals.
• Our Family Treatment Workers extend the healing into homes and communities.

Together, this blend of compassion and expertise transforms lives, giving children the tools they need to build brighter and promising futures.
